Si hace unos días nos hacíamos eco de los resultados de la encuesta de Locus sobre las mejores novelas de ciencia ficción y fantasía de los Siglos XX y XXI, hoy hacemos lo propio con la lista de las mejores novelas cortas, relatos y relatos cortos, que se acaba de anunciar. En este caso, las obras no están divididas en ciencia ficción y fantasía pero sí por siglos.

Por supuesto, no he leído todas las historias de estas listas (ni mucho menos), pero a primera vista veo muchos relatos realmente extraordinarios en todos los apartados. Por supuesto, me encanta que algunos de los autores favoritos de este blog (Ted Chiang, Paolo Bacigalupi, Greg Egan, Alastair Reynolds) aparezcan unas cuantas veces. De hecho, hace poco publicábamos una reseña de Pump Six and Other Stories de Paolo Bacigalupi y buena parte de las historias incluidas en el libro aparecen en esta lista.
No puedo dejar sin mencionar que dos de los tres relatos traducidos que se incluyen en el primer volumen de Terra Nova, en concreto The Paper Menagerie de Ken Liu y The Lifecycle of Software Objects de Ted Chiang, también han sido votados entre los más relevantes del siglo XXI.
